The Kenya Bankers Sacco team visits Lake Front Fisheries

Lake Front Fisheries welcomed Lucas Otieno Ondong, CEO, together with two members of The Kenya Bankers Sacco team for a field visit at Kadiala Beach, Siaya County. The visit created space for practical discussion on aquaculture enterprise growth, partnership opportunities, and the role of sustainable fish farming in strengthening local livelihoods.

Strengthening partnerships around enterprise and impact

During the visit, Lucas and The Kenya Bankers Sacco team engaged with the Lake Front Fisheries team on the farm's production model, community training work, and opportunities to support women, youth, and smallholder farmers through stronger aquaculture value chains.

Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund

AECF is a valued partner of Lake Front Fisheries. Together we are creating opportunity for women and youth in aquaculture — building skills, building businesses, and building futures in our community.

Young women and men trained through this partnership go on to run their own fish farming enterprises, purchase our fingerlings, and contribute to a growing regional value chain anchored in Siaya County.

With Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University, we collaborated on floating gardens as a pond-based research project. AECF remains our main partner for enterprise growth, women, and youth work.
